During construction, access to hangars will be temporarily restricted.
Our goal is to minimize the impact on all stakeholders while completing the updates as efficiently as possible.
The engineering team will update this website monthly to maintain transparency at each step of the project. If you have any questions or concerns that are not addressed here, please contact us.
The planned repaving will make the field significantly smoother and create a safer environment for aircraft operations. Following construction, fresh striping will simplify navigation.
The runway relocation will bring PSC into compliance with FAA engineering standards and improve aircraft safety. Additionally, the adjusted layout will better facilitate future growth at the airport.
The GA Apron and Runway shift projects will modernize PSC's infrastructure, enabling it to better serve the Tri-Cities community and accommodate an increasing number of passengers.
No. During construction, if your hanger is in an impacted area, you will not have access.
Tenants who typically respond to emails will be contacted by Port staff via email. Those who do not communicate via email will be contacted by Airport staff via phone call. For private hangars with subtenants, communication will be handled by the hangar owners and/or the FBO who manages a number of those buildings.
No, construction will not impact scheduled flights.
We encourage everyone to arrive at least 90 minutes before their flight.
No, these specific construction projects will not impact the terminal.
Dust control measures will be taken, including spraying and containment. During construction, our main runway will be intermittently closed, and flights will be routed differently. This may result in increased flyovers and aircraft noise for some residential areas between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Construction is estimated to conclude in early 2026. Several projects are being worked on during this period, and we will keep this site up-to-date with any changes to that date.
We do not anticipate a large increase in traffic due to construction. There might be more trucks hauling materials and equipment, but this should not impact the flow of traffic on the routes used to access the airport.
